Wazalendo ready for Warriors Battle

Wazalendo Hockey Club will take on high flying Butali Sugar Warriors, formerly Kisumu Simba at City Park Stadium.

Having edged Strathmore on goal difference after thrashing Bay Club 6-2, Wazalendo clinched a place in the playoffs and will be looking to get a place in the finals with either defending champions Kenya Police or Nairobi Simba.

Team Coach Kimanzi is confident of Wazalendo’s chances against the favourites Butali. “We’ve been training well. We are prepared for everything they will throw at us”

“All our players are back from injury except for Job who is still recovering. We will approach this match with caution and a strong mindset.”  Kimanzi added

Kimanzi however acknowledged that this season has been more competitive compared to past season. “Of course, this season has been tough. If you look at how each of the four teams qualified to the playoffs you’ll notice that it wasn’t easy. We had to fight hard to get through and we will certainly not let up at this stage. We want to win this league”
