Wazalendo scoop maximum points at Mombasa

Wazalendo premier side scooped 6 points in their league outing at the coastal county of Kenya. Playing on Saturday 20th February 2016 at the Mombasa sports club grounds against Mvita XI the Waza side had a one sided first half match. Minutes into the match saw veteran striker Fidhelis Kimanzi put Wazalendo ahead. Peter Mulati added another 10 minutes later sending all confidence into the team. Stanley Chege Wazalendos captain was not to be left out as they rapped the first half with a 3-0 lead. In the second half Wazalendos Nelson shilaku had unfinished business and added Wazas Fourth in his trademark fashion that left Mvitas custodian wondering what his defence were upto.

Later in the second half jetlag began taking effect of the Visiting team when veteran Mvita forward pulled one back to set a series of attacks against Wazalendo. 4-1, 8 minutes to the end they was a stand off when a controversial goal was awarded to the coast side 4-2. They was another may hem when Wazalendos team manager Bernard Kubasu was shown the red card for indicent conduct to the judging table. Tempers were flaring however the Game ended minutes later on with three points secured.

Sunday saw Wazalendo’s quest for three more points against homeside Mombasa sports club hockey team reached when the home side went down 6-1. Eric Ochieng hatrick in the first half with Nelson shilakus trademark saw Wazalendo lead 4-1. Wazalendos back line consided a flick which saw Waza keeper nearly save the same but beaten to it.

Wazalendo came back to the second half with Fidhelis Kimanzi and Captain Stanley Chege netting their second goals in the coastal trip. This takes Wazalendo to the third position awaiting confirmation of today afternoon matches at Nairobi’s City park.
